Denise asked to replicate a design from a nail art magazine, so here it is!
It is super gorgeous in real life, but I didn’t take pictures and these are pictures that Denise sent to me via Whatsapp… it was very sweet of her!
The idea of roses and polka dots seems very feminine, but the colour scheme gave it a darker edge and I love how well the colours played on each other. Some nails had dark base colours with art in light colours, and some nails had it in reverse, with light base colours and art in dark colours.
I used Angel Pro Gelly Polish in #29 (black) for the dark base and Artistic Colour Gloss In Bloom for the light base. Then, for the roses, I used a light purple (Angel Pro Gelly Polish in #12) and a light pink (Angel Pro Gelly Polish in #39) to fill in the shapes, then black (Angel Pro Gelly Polish in #29) to fill in the heart shapes. Finally, I used acrylic paint to add the details of the petals, the lace, the words and the polka dots.
